Ask Your Archive

Help

For readers

What is this?
A newsletter you read has put its archive on Ask Your Archive. Ask a question on its page, or in your own Claude, and get an answer that quotes and links the original posts.
How do I ask on the web?
Open the newsletter's archive page and type a question. Free readers get answers from free posts. Sign in with the email you subscribe with to include paid posts.
How do I use it in my own Claude?
On the newsletter's archive page, copy the connector address. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste it, and sign in with your subscription email when Claude asks. Works on every Claude plan; free plans can add one custom connector.
Why can't I see paid posts?
Paid posts open for the email on the writer's paid list, or for readers who bought AI access. Use the same email you subscribe with. If you just upgraded, access updates within a day.
What happens to my questions?
The writer sees only anonymous topics that 5 or more readers asked about, reworded. Never your name, email or exact question. Question text is erased after 90 days, and you can opt out of being counted at any time.
How do I cancel AI access I bought?
Use the link in your receipt email from Stripe, or email us. Payment goes to the writer through Stripe.

For writers

How do I start?
Paste your newsletter's address on the home page to see a private preview built from your public posts, then claim it, or sign in and connect beehiiv (API key) or Substack (export upload).
How do paid readers get access on Substack?
Connect the Stripe account Substack pays you through (a read-only key) and paid readers sync every night. Otherwise, upload your subscriber export each week; we'll email you a reminder.
Can I hold back new posts?
Yes. Set how many days new posts stay inbox-only in Settings.
How do I leave?
Dashboard → Delete my archive. It's erased from Ask Your Archive right away and from backups within 30 days.
